Who We Are

We're The Marc Family. A dad, a mom, a little girl, and two dogs who absolutely run the house.

Angelo is a Black father, a husband, and the kind of dog person who once called his wife from a shelter to say "I found the most beautiful dog" — and came home with him that same night. His wife is the one who was skeptical about getting a dog, then turned around and lobbied hard for a second one. Their daughter came into the world and was greeted at home by a 115-pound Pit Bull who somehow knew, without being told, to be gentle.

We didn't set out to build a brand. We set out to find good products for two dogs who made that harder than it should have been. And when we couldn't find what we were looking for, we built it ourselves.

We Wagging Tails was built from our living room floor, out of real frustration and real love. It is a family business in the truest sense — every decision made by people who are dog parents first, and everything else second.

Our Story

It started with a phone call.

Angelo had been volunteering at a local shelter — walking dogs, spending time with animals waiting for their forever homes. One evening, he came across a Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix with small ears that folded forward and eyes that held something heavy in them. Something that said life hadn't always been easy.

He called home that same night. "I found the most beautiful dog," he said. "I'm bringing him home."

His wife was skeptical. Reasonably so. This was not exactly a joint decision. But Shadow came home that night anyway — and within days, it was impossible to imagine the house without him.

Meet Shadow 🐕 — our little Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix with the biggest personality in the smallest package. Shadow came into our lives in October 2019 at two and a half years old, carrying with him the weight of an uncertain past. His anxiety told us that life hadn't always been kind to him. But we were patient, we were consistent, and most importantly — we were his forever family. 💛

Finding the right products for Shadow was no small feat. His anxiety meant he needed comfort and security, but his Houdini-level escape skills 😅 meant that collars had to be secure, durable, and perfectly fitted. Toys and bedding had to withstand his stress-chewing without looking like they came straight out of a demolition site. And we needed them to look good — because Shadow, despite everything, had impeccable taste. The kind of taste that has him carefully tiptoeing along the stepping stones in the backyard so his pristine little paws never have to touch the grass, the dirt, or — heaven forbid — the ground itself. This is a dog with standards. High ones.

Then the tables turned.

A few months after Shadow settled in, Angelo's wife — the same woman who had been skeptical about Shadow — came to him with news. A friend was giving away puppies. Pit Bull puppies. And she wanted one. There was some negotiation. Some begging, if we're being accurate. And eventually, the answer was yes.

Meet Dexter 🐶 — our gentle giant. Adopted in January 2020 at just 9 weeks old, this sweet, lovable Pit Bull has grown into an absolute unit, tipping the scales at over 115 lbs. Dexter is the definition of a sweetheart — all cuddles, kisses, and tail wags that can clear a coffee table in a single sweep. But don't let that fool you. This boy can destroy practically anything in his path without even trying. 😂 Beds, toys, collars — if it wasn't built to last, it didn't stand a chance.

The woman who had been skeptical about getting a dog was now the reason they had two. And Dexter, from his very first day, knew exactly who his person was. He has followed her around ever since — this 115-pound giant, belly up, waiting for her to rub his stomach, looking for all the world like an enormous teddy bear who just happens to weigh as much as a grown adult.

And then there's the moment we think about most.

When we brought our daughter home from the hospital — brand new, hours old — Dexter was there. This dog who could flatten a bed in a day, who had destroyed more toys than we could count, was completely, utterly calm. He approached her gently. He was quiet. He seemed to understand, in the way that dogs sometimes do, that this was someone small and new and important. He has been her gentle giant ever since.

That moment is why we care so much about what we do. Because dogs are not just pets. They are woven into the biggest moments of your life — the ordinary Tuesdays and the extraordinary ones. They are there for all of it. And they deserve gear that's worthy of the role they play.

Between Shadow's anxiety-driven chewing and Dexter's magnificent destructive power, we found ourselves constantly replacing products that just weren't up to the task. We grew frustrated with the endless cycle of buying cheap, flimsy items that sacrificed either durability or aesthetics — because why should our dogs' things look like an afterthought?

That frustration became our purpose. 🌟
